IAGE – Italy Chapter

The Italian division of the International Association for Green Energy (IAGE) is a non-profit organization that builds an educational and informative platform for networking and knowledge exchange across academia, industry, and society at large in all areas of green energy. It promotes the establishment of an Italian scientific network with the goal of advancing scientific progress in the field of renewable energy and sustainable energy production processes, while simultaneously focusing on environmental protection and enhancing the quality of life. IAGE vision is to become one of the leading resources for academic and industry-based professionals in all areas of sustainable green energy systems.

The main objectives are: 1) Advocate and promote green energy systems and technologies – for a clean world; 2. Strive for sustainable environmental, social and economic development – prosperity and health for ourselves today and for our children in the future; 3) Provide a multi-disciplinary forum for the exchange of latest technical information and new ideas/developments, for the dissemination of the high-quality research results, and for the debate and shaping of future directions and priorities; 4) Educate and increase the public's understanding of green energy and its importance by offering courses, seminars, conferences and meetings and by collecting and disseminating information pertinent to the subject matter.

The Association promotes and stimulates the exchange of information on green energy through its publications and sponsorship of international conferences, workshops, and short courses. Its activities include, but are not limited to: 1) An official scientific journal, International Journal of Green Energy, published by Taylor & Francis; 2) An annual review book series, Progress in Green Energy, published by Springer; 3) Organizing the annual International Green Energy Conference - including exhibitions - around the world; 4) Co-organizing the annual Green Energy Conference for Youth for elementary and high school students; and 5) Maintaining and updating this Internet site.
